This PDF booklet has everything you need to stitch your own personalised version of this steam train puffing along the track. The child's name is in the steam and the birth details are backstitched underneath the train, forming a fully personalised and very special gift. The booklet contains the steam train pattern in both single and split page versions, for use either on screen or printed. A personalised example is given as well as charts without personalisation to fill in your own details. The full upper case and lower case alphabet for the steam letters is included, and the full backstitch alphabet for the birth details. There are two blank grids at the end of the booklet to use to draft out your personalisation.
There are two booklets, one with colour charts and one with black and white charts.
This pattern has 10 colours and uses full cross stitches and backstitch; there are no fractional stitches. The backstitched text uses French knots in the i's and j's only. The pattern is suitable for those with a little experience of cross stitch.
The pattern size including the example text is 106 stitches wide x 73 stitches high.
On 14 count fabric this is approximately 7.6 x 4.5 inches (19.2 x 11.4 cm).
